Kyiv–Vienna Innovation Bridge
We empower Ukrainian SMEs, high-tech ventures, and scale-ups to enter, grow, and thrive in the Austrian market.
The Kyiv–Vienna Innovation Bridge is a strategic initiative launched by the Ukrainian Startup Fund and Austrian accelerator BeFounder to create a permanent, actionable connection between Ukraine’s innovation ecosystem and the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), with a strong focus on Austria.
This initiative is designed to accelerate the growth of Ukrainian tech startups by providing them with direct access to European markets, partners, and capital.
At the same time, it enriches the Austrian innovation landscape through collaboration with highly driven Ukrainian entrepreneurs and technical talent.
Objectives of the Initiative
Building bridges for Ukrainian startups to reach new markets and unlock their potential.
Provide a structured pathway for Ukrainian startups to enter and scale in the EU, starting with Austria.
Deliver practical, business-critical education and support through workshops, mentorship, and legal or administrative guidance to navigate Austrian and EU markets.
Link Ukrainian and Austrian startup professionals, talents, and ecosystem builders to drive mutual growth and internationalization.
Organize visibility platforms such as Demo Days, innovation panels, and networking events in both Kyiv and Vienna.
Bring together Ukrainian startups with Austrian and broader EU investors, VCs, and corporate innovation teams through curated matchmaking and collaborative projects.
